A cute, simple bookmark. Works up really fast. Pattern is free.
Chain 16
Row 1: Sc in 2nd chain from hook and in all remaining stitches.
Row 2: Repeat row 1.
Chain 3. Counts as stitch here and throughout. Double crochet in next 6 stitches. Chain one, skip one. Crochet in next 7 stitches. Chain 3, turn.
Row 4: Double crochet in the next 4 stitches. Chain 1, skip 1. Double crochet into the next 3 stitches. Chain one, skip one. Double crochet in the next 5 stitches. Chain 3, turn.
Row 5-6: Double crochet into the next 2 stitches. Chain 1, skip 1. Double crochet into the next 7 stitches. Chain 1, skip 1. Double crochet into the next 3. Chain 4. Turn.
Row 7: skip next stitch and double crochet into the next 11 stitches. Chain 1,skip 1. Double crochet into the last stitch. Chain 3, turn.
Row 8: Double crochet into the next 2 stitches. Chain 1 skip 1. Double crochet into the next 3 stitches. Chain 1 skip 1 Double crochet into the next 3 stitches. Chain 1 skip 1. Double crochet into the next 3 stitches. Chain 3, turn.
Row 9: Double crochet into the next 4 stitches. Chain 1 skip 1. Double crochet into the next 3 stitches. Chain 1 skip 1. double crochet into the next 5 stitches. Chain 3, turn.
Row 10-11: Double crochet in all stitches.
Repeat rows 3-11 till you reach your desired length.
Once pattern is finished chain 1 and single crochet all stitches. Fasten off and weave in ends. A single crochet border is optional.
